  1. All women with germ cell tumors need careful follow-up every three months for the first two years after treatment.
  2. ‚Ä¢ Follow-up should include a careful physical examination and serum √üHCG, alpha-fetoprotein and LDH levels
  3.   (depending on which was elevated before therapy).
  4. ‚Ä¢ Occasionally, radiologic studies such as an abdominal and pelvic CT or MRI scan are performed as required.
